In continuation to build capacities of students through academic and non-academic interventions, Moser Baer Trust organized a 10 day long workshop with the help of a non-profit organization CLIC Abroad (In partnership with Nikon India) for school going students of age group 14 to 18 years from Jaithari Block, Anuppur from 29th December’2014 till 7th January’2015. Mr. Bhaskar Krishnamurthy, President (CLIC Abroad, USA) facilitated the workshop.
The objective of the workshop was to develop intellectual skills, encourage positive and competitive growth on a personal level, and foster a spirit of international understanding and entrepreneurship through the medium of digital photography and visual documentation. Every child was given a camera during the duration of workshop. A total of 26 students (diverse group- social group, religion, village and gender) participated in this workshop from Jaithari block and Greater Noida.
The closing ceremony was held on 7th January’2015 and was witnessed by around 200 people constituting of local people, Hindustan Powerprojects Limited staff members, MB Trust staff and Bal Bharati School students. The workshop participants presented various social theme based cultural programs like songs, dance and street play during the closing ceremony.
All the participants were felicitated and Ms. Janaki and Mr. Neeraj were awarded for the “Best Clicked Photograph” Award. Mr. Bhaskar Krishnamurthy shared his experience with the audience and appreciated Moser Baer Trust initiatives towards community development. There were 102 photographs were on exhibition which were clicked by the CLIC Abroad workshop participants. The photographs clicked by the students were highly appreciated by the visitors.
